Walk for Truth passes through Watson Street Interchange Upgrade
On Tuesday, the Walk for Truth journey passed through Winslow Infrastructure’s Watson Street Interchange Upgrade (WSIU) project area, marking a powerful moment of reflection, respect and community connection on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung land.
The Walk for Truth is a national movement led by Kerrupmara Gunditjmara man Travis Lovett, bringing communities together to walk in support of truth telling, healing and meaningful change for First Nations peoples.
The walk which spans 800km, began at Victorian’s Parliament House and will end at Parliament House in Canberra.
Today’s Wollert to Wallan leg moved directly through our project area on Watson Street.
Winslow Infrastructure and Trafman Solutions crews were proud to support the safe passage of participants, temporarily stopping traffic to allow Travis to cross the project site safely.
The co-ordinated effort between teams ensured WSIU delivery teams ongoing commitment to community, cultural respect and safety were upheld.
