Understanding neurodiversity in construction

As part of Autism Acceptance Month, Winslow Infrastructure recently welcomed Amaze to the Watson Street Interchange Upgrade project to deliver an important training session on Understanding Neurodiversity in the construction industry.

Amaze is a leading autism organisation driving change so that Autistic people and their families can live their best lives.

The session introduced core concepts of neurodiversity and explored why it matters in today’s workplaces and communities.

It also highlighted the growing presence of neurodivergent individuals in construction and what that can look like both on-site and in the office.

The session provided valuable insight into how small changes in communication, planning and awareness can make a meaningful difference to team performance and wellbeing.

This training marks the beginning of a broader focus on neurodiversity across the project, with more in-depth sessions planned in the coming months.
