Sarah steps up to lead landscape project

Site Engineer Sarah Waterland recently stepped up to lead a landscape refurbishment project at Portlink Estate, Altona in Melbourne’s southwest.
“The client, Platinum Edge Group, wanted to bulk out the trees and planting,” Sarah said.
The centrepiece of the project was the inclusion of three 2.5 tonne palm trees that needed a crane to lift each off the delivery truck and over a fence to be planted.
“I was fortunate to have the opportunity to take the original landscape drawings and client’s requests to design a job that would be delivered safely and under budget,” Sarah said.
The estate is well established and located adjacent to busy Kororoit Creek Rd, which required constant traffic management and asset detection by Trafman Solutions.
“We had to engage Trafman not only for daily traffic management but also extensive service proving for every single tree location,” Sarah said.
“We also had to work inside private lots. One property is occupied by a logistics company that had trucks and trailers moving through every couple of minutes 24/7, so we even needed traffic management to assist us while working within that property.”
Unlimited opportunities and inspiring careers.
