Polymer Green Christmas

It is a common misconception, that Melbourne receives the most rainfall during winter – in fact, the period from October to January has the highest monthly averages and feature thunderstorms with associated heavy rainfall.

In the lead up to shutdown, Winslow Infrastructure rolled out a new environmental campaign “Green Christmas”, aimed at planning for the break and implementing measures on our sites ensuring they are prepared for potential heavy rain.

This year, in partnership with OPT Hire, WI has two Polymer capable trailers for our sites to use.

Polymer spray is a fantastic solution for soil erosion and dust control on our sites, and creates a tough, bonded surface that’s resistant to wind and rainfall erosion.

With this new capability, WI sites were considering how they will seal stockpiles, exposed surfaces and access tracks before Christmas.
