Native Space rebuilds and revitalises reserve

Native Space recently completed the reconstruction of Max Pawsey Reserve playground and car park.

Engaged by the City of Casey, the works involved the removal of the existing car park, playground, and redundant underground infrastructure.

This was replaced with the construction of a 74-space car park with upgraded stormwater system, and a contemporary playground to enhance community use and accessibility.

The new recreational space features modern play equipment, a water play area, and a basketball half-court

Supporting amenities include a BBQ area and sheltered seating, creating a safe and engaging environment that improves functionality and overall access of the reserve.

Our team overcame identifying and managing unknown underground services, maintaining safe public access, minimising disruption to the Fountain Gate Football Club and Narre Warren Scout Hall, and addressing drainage and ground conditions, all while meeting safety, environmental, and accessibility requirements.
