NAIDOC Week at Fisherman’s Bend
Last week, Winslow Infrastructure commemorated NAIDOC Week with a traditional smoking ceremony at the Fisherman’s Bend Industrial Precinct (FBIP) site.
The ceremony cleansed the project area of bad spirits and promoted the protection and wellbeing of visitors, workers and our team.

FBIP Project Director Steve Cliff, said it was a great occasion to bring the team together.
“It’s tradition on our Winslow Infrastructure major projects that a smoking ceremony is conducted prior to works commencing,” Steve said..
“This was a fantastic way to bring all of our WI team together with representatives from our client Development Victoria and commemorate NAIDOC week.”
Stephen Thorpe, from Sustainative, performed the ceremony and joined the team for lunch.
He spoke about embracing and celebrating our First Nations culture and encouraged everyone to attend and participate in cultural celebrations.
