Morning tea raises funds for cancer research
Winslow Queensland held a Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser yesterday and almost doubled the team’s target for vital cancer research, support services, prevention programs, and advocacy.
With almost 1 in 2 Australians diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85, and ultimately all of us impacted by cancer at some point in our lives, this was impetus for Winslow Queensland Financial Controller Michael Kane to host the morning tea.
“A fundraising target of $300 was set, but thanks to the generous donations from staff $569 was received,” Michael said.
“These important funds will help bring us all closer to a cancer free future.
“A huge thanks to all those who contributed either their hard earnt cash or by providing the sweet and savoury treats. See you all in 2025.”
