Improve your reading and writing skills
Adult learning education provider Prace has started an evening online, or on site, literacy class aimed for workers who want to improve their reading, writing and spelling skills.
Adult literacy classes are small with friendly teachers and classmates who are having the same everyday experiences as you.
Prace will lend students a laptop, if they need one, for the duration of the course.
The course is aimed at people who:
- were born and went to school in Australia, but completed year 10 or less, or
- were born overseas but have excellent speaking and listening skills, and again have had less than 10 years of school
Eligibility:
- must live in Victoria
- must be a permanent resident of Australia, or on a Temporary Protection Visa
The classes are held during the day and evening. In the evening, there are two options, and students are welcome to enrol in both classes if they wish:
Spelling Reading and Writing
Wednesdays, 6.00pm to 8.30pm
Merrilands Community Centre, Reservoir:
Literacy Online
Thursdays, 6.00pm to 8.30pm
An online class where students attend from the comfort of their own home.
