Hydrogen reducing crushers’ emissions

Onsite crushing and reusing material generated by mother nature on site provides so many benefits:

  • Reduction of virgin quarry material;
  • Reusing material that was being disturbed as part of development activities:
  • Reduced truck movements through communities;
  • The material that was found on site remains onsite and supports the new land use whether it is a new home for a resident or a new school for the next generation;
  • Less truck movements means less CO2 emissions.

Ecosphere continues to find sustainable and environmentally friendly outcomes with crushing plants fitted with a new technology that supplies hydrogen gas to a diesel engine’s intake.

Ecosphere has partnered with Hydi to reduce CO2 from diesel emissions through the crushing process.

ES hydi 500x500

Hydi has provided a 10 per cent reduction in diesel burn and with further refinement we will achieve 15 per cent reduction in diesel burn.

Hydrogen has three times the energy content of diesel and delivers a higher flame speed to improve combustion efficiency.

This combination reduces fuel consumption, carbon and greenhouse gas exhaust emissions and increases performance.

Less diesel from less truck movements and less diesel burn from the crushers reduces CO2.

We won’t stop here.
