As part of our engagement, Ecosphere is undertaking targeted site rehabilitation works while reclaiming valuable, approved reserves from overburden dumps.

These rehabilitation activities ensure Boral remains compliant with its operating conditions, while also restoring areas of the quarry in line with environmental obligations.

The recovery of reserves from overburden materials provides a significant operational advantage. These recovered materials are being processed into high-value concrete aggregates and crushed rock, supporting ongoing construction demand.

Importantly, reclaiming these reserves also extends the life of the quarry; an outcome of increasing importance given how challenging it is to secure approvals for new reserves.
