Constructors lay 1.1km pipeline in growth corridor

Winslow continues to lay the foundations for sustainable communities with the construction of a 1.1km pipeline in Melbourne’s northern growth corridor.

Winslow Constructors’ North region team has been operating at the Merrifield Estate at Mickleham in Melbourne’s north, with the latest significant infrastructure occurring at the Donnybrook Creek Section.

The stormwater drainage project involves the installation of twin 2400mm diameter by 2400mm length pipes, which will exceed 1.1km in distance when complete, along with associated bulk earthworks and access haul roads.

The impressive largescale project will provide a crucial role in enhancing the region’s stormwater management system for the future City Central stage of the development.

“We are fortunate enough to continue our partnership with MAB Corporation at the evolving Merrifield development,” said Construction Manager Ryan Monaghan.

“Integral to this project are the implementation and maintenance of our EMP controls located at the southern and northern end of the pipeline, as well as our consideration to the proximity of existing residents located along the western boundary of our works.

“Fingers crossed for continued favourable weather as we approach completion of this important piece of Merrifield infrastructure in early 2024.”
