Constructors crew hitting targets for new village
Winslow Constructors’ Medium Density team in Melbourne’s southeast sand belt have been busy developing the Cranbourne North Retirement Village.
The large, gated community in Cranbourne is New Zealand company Summerset Group Holdings Ltd’s first project in Australia, and Winslow’s largest medium density project.
The Constructors crew has faced a few obstacles during the project, but continues to kick goals.
The team has had to navigate works on a neighbouring Major Road Projects Victoria intersection upgrade on the south and western boundary.
Site Supervisor Daniel Peters and Project Engineer Timothy Riley have also had to overcome difficult sandy conditions that caused major dust outbreaks, which was treated with a polymer coating over the whole project.
Project Manager Andrew Tsalacopoulos said the wet winter last year also made the site inaccessible, further delaying the official commencement to late 2022.
The project started last October and is on track to be completed by the end of this year.
