Conferences a chance for Winslow Group to shine

It has been a busy week for industry conferences with Winslow Group business units well represented.
SMS Business Unit Manager Travis Gains joined industry experts on stage at the Inside Construction Expo at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
It was a great opportunity to discuss all things surveying with peers and meet other construction industry professionals.
Survey Manager Merylene Naidoo and Senior Surveyor Lleyton Varley were also at the Expo to represent SMS.
Winslow Infrastructure was immersed in all things “green” this week at the 2023 ecologiQ Greener Infrastructure Conference.
ecologiQ, is an annual infrastructure sustainability conference, presenting a unique opportunity for practitioners to learn how greener materials are being integrated into infrastructure and how collaboration and innovation can take it to the next level.
Major Transport Infrastructure Authority Director Kevin Devlin spoke about the five major road projects achieving outstanding sustainability outcomes in their portfolio, and our Sunbury Road Upgrade project (SRU) was featured as one of those.

SRU was also on display at the ecologiQ Conference trade hall, where the project’s sustainability achievements and highlights were on show for all to see.
This highlighted the project’s 3.3km of recycled pipe, use of foam bitumen, reclaimed asphalt pavement and >65% office waste diversions.
Environment and Sustainability Advisor, James Thomas, said it was great to catch up with some of our existing suppliers at the Trade Hall.
“To see what new innovative sustainable solutions are being brought to the market and get new ideas for existing and future projects was an incredible opportunity.”
Our attendance at the conference is a great demonstration of WI’s accelerated shift on a greener future and a great opportunity to learn from other key stakeholders in the industry.
