Celebrating women in engineering

Globally, International Women in Engineering Day celebrates the work and achievements of female engineers.

The day provides an important opportunity to raise the profile of women in the field and highlight the amazing career opportunities available.

Only 14 percent of the engineering workforce in Australia are women, with less than 23 percent of engineering graduates in Australia being women, so encouraging girls to look at a career in engineering is critical.

Engineering shapes the world and helps make our planet a better, safer, more innovative, and exciting place to be.

As a business, it is crucial to encourage girls to consider engineering careers and to help fill the substantial future job opportunities predicted for the engineering sector.
