Autism Cup kicks fundraising goals

Altona ‘Magic’ Soccer Club and Avondale Football Club kicked off the inaugural Autism Cup on July 6 to raise funds and awareness for autism inclusion and support services.

Winslow was a proud sponsor of the event, which was celebrated by supporters from both clubs.

Altona hosted the day at its Paisley Park home ground, which saw families enjoy a pregame kids’ carnival and a president’s function with special guest former Melbourne Victory and Socceroos player Archie Thompson.

Thanks to everyone’s generosity, $63,365.18 was raised for Beyond the Boundary, an organisation focused on delivering soccer programs designed for children and families living with autism.

Altona won the match 1-0 in a thrilling finish.
