A light stretch sets up your day
As part of Men’s Health Month, we are calling on all male Winslowers to share your own story about how you have made good choices in personal health practices. Today we hear from Trafman Solutions Depot Supervisor Brendon Brazier.
Morning warm-ups get the joints, muscles and mind ready for the day by creating positive blood flow through the body.
Warms-up work best before you break your fast – AKA breakfast.
Tip. Don’t have breakfast before 9am. If you skip breakfast, morning tea is important for sustaining energy throughout the day.
You get the most effects when breaking your fast with healthy choices.
Stretch bands are the most effective warm-up tools, and are great for connective tissues, which increases strength.
You don’t need to do much – just a light 20 reps is the most effective exercise for blood flow. It’s all about blood flow.
There’s no need to push it too hard, especially first thing in the morning.
We have spot prizes available for great stories received and published on WinConnect and News.winslow.com.au. To share your health story to inspire and encourage your fellow colleagues, please email to cms@winslow.com.au
