Lathams Road opens to traffic

WI’s Lathams Road Upgrade Project team reached functional completion in late July with the dual carriageway on Lathams Road finally open to vehicles.

“I’m very proud of the team for working extremely hard to complete the works in July to reach functional completion,” said Project Director Gosia Suchorska.

“This would not have been possible without everyone pitching in and helping us reach this milestone, well done.”  

The team completed the final wearing course on Lathams Road eastbound, Hall Road and Frankston-Dandenong Road, with the westbound Lathams Road to be completed in early August.

Over the past month, we have seen line marking, guardrail, and traffic light infrastructure being installed, plus works on Peninsula Link recommenced.
