NAIDOC Week colouring in competition

We continue to raise awareness and build respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders cultures and histories by celebrating NAIDOC Week each year.  In 2023 NAIDOC Week is 2-9 July.

This year we focus on embracing Winslow’s Indigenous artwork unveiled last year and continue to share its meaning with employees though a very special colouring-in competition.

Koling wada-ngal (Let Us Walk Together)
Created by artist Jenna Oldaker, is an exceptional representation of the Winslow values, and also the deepening of Winslow’s relationships with our land’s traditional owners the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. See attached sheet to view the artwork.

Winslow’s colouring-in competition
We invite all employees and their families from across The Winslow Group to complete the colouring-in sheet attached which has been created especially for NAIDOC Week to reflect our Indigenous artwork.

Every employee and family member can complete the colouring-in sheet and submit it to their closest and most relevant Regional or Business Unit Office for display where a winning entry will be judged by the Business Unit Leaders and announced via Win-Connect.

Prizes available for the winning entry in each Office
The winning entry from the submitted displays in each office in Victoria will receive a family ticket (2 adults & 2 children or 1 adult & 3 children under 16 years) to the Melbourne Museum and Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre. In Queensland/ NNSW – it will be a family ticket to Currumbin Wildlife sanctuary to see the Aboriginal Culture Show.

Due date for entries
Entries (completed original coloring in sheet) from employees should be sent to the nearest office by Monday 10th July.

Where to send completed entries
All site-based employees can give their entries to their site Foreman who will send it to the appropriate office.

All other employees can send their entries to the following office locations and nominated people.

We are looking forward to seeing our Indigenous artwork come to life through the talents of Winslowers and the support of their families.
