The design of the special edition Winslow hoodie is based on the Indigenous artwork that winslow recently commissioned indigenous artist Jenna oldaker to create. The Indigenous artwork reflects foundations that are dear to us, particularly the Winslow Family value – connection with our community, the importance of teamwork and also incorporates some of our Winslow corporate colours.

It reflects the respect we have for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the deepening relationships we have developed together over a long period of time and the opportunities for the future.

The special edition hoodie is available to all Winslow employees, their families and our community partners at a cost of $50 (this covers supplier hoodie price, plus all delivery and bank fees).

All proceeds from the sale of the Winslow Indigenous hoodies will be donated to our chosen charity, Ganbina. This community-based organisation, like Winslow, also values and encourages the active support of the growth and development of young people.

Our chosen charity, Ganbina

Specifically, Ganbina is Australia’s most successful Indigenous school to work transition program based in Victoria. They mentor young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, from the ages of six to 25 years old, to make sure they gain the education, skills and life experiences they need to unlock their full potential. Their program includes learning support, life skills training, cultural appreciation, career guidance and financial assistance. ‘Empowering Aboriginal kids to achieve their full potential’.

Artwork Description

This artwork illustrates family and community coming together as one, as we travel and learn together on Country. The centrepiece of this artwork symbolises community and meeting place – a place where we all come together to yarn and share stories and knowledge with one another. The classic U shapes symbolise people, whilst the concentric circles and lines in the centre illustrate journey paths and our continued connection to culture, spirits and land.

We are all connected to one another, and this is what gives us such power and unity. This is illustrated by the joining journey paths, all connecting and overlapping with one another as we walk together, and pay our respects to our land and waters. The connecting lines and journey paths are also symbolic of community and family, as we all come together to help care for this beautiful Country land we call home.
