Elimbah team achieves milestone

Winslow Queensland’s Infrastructure Project team have achieved a second major milestone for the Elimbah Project, with the second major traffic switch taking place earlier this month.

This is a significant milestone for the project and allows Stage 2 civil works to commence on Pumicestone Road.

The project consists of new water and wastewater infrastructure and major road upgrades which will service the future residential and urban development beside the Bruce Highway between Caboolture and the Sunshine Coast.

Milestone 1 was achieved with the completion of the Early Works package in January which focused on moving electrical infrastructure, allowing the Pumicestone Road civils package to commence.

Other key achievements to date include:

• McGarry Road: Civil works commenced April, with sealing and wearing course planned for next week. .
• Sewer 1: SPS wet well wall lift 2 has been completed, with one lift remaining. MH01/01 base and wall lift 2 have also been completed, with one lift remaining.
• Sewer 2: Over 750m of dual-trench pipeline (OD180 and OD315) has been installed, including completion of one dual bore.
• Sewer 3: Works have commenced for the launch and receival pits for the underbore beneath the Bruce Highway.
• Water package E1–E3: Over 25 per cent of the pipework has been installed, with three of the five bores also completed.
• E2: This final package has now commenced, meaning all packages are now active.
• Sewer 4: 75 per cent of the pipework has been completed, with the bore commenced early August.
