WI helps Bima with career pathways

At Winslow, we undertake and enhance strategic and sustainable procurement practices for Winslow to effectively contribute to building stronger communities and generating wider social benefits.

Through our partnership with SheForce Recruitment & Labour Hire, via the SheTech program, Winslow Infrastructure has supported Bima Budha Magar’s employment on the Watson Street Interchange Upgrade at Wallan north of Melbourne, which we’re building on behalf of VIDA Roads.

In collaboration with Enable IT Recycling & In the Click Social Enterprise, SheTech supports migrant women with employability training, workplace readiness, and paid internship pathways into meaningful work. 

Bima, who migrated to Australia from Nepal, connected with SheForce and secured her placement at Winslow. 

“Gaining hands-on experience has opened many career pathways for me and changed how I view the construction industry,” Bima said.

“I’ve realised that you just need to keep going, not give up, and one day you’ll achieve what’s meant for you. I’m grateful to Winslow, which made this opportunity possible for me.”
