Emergency+ app installed on all Winslow phones

Winslow maintains its commitment to ongoing safety improvements and innovative safety solutions.

Emergency+, a new safety-related app, has been installed on all Winslow mobile phones to help emergency services accurately locate you should you require them.

The app uses GPS functionality built into smart phones to help a Triple Zero (000) caller provide critical location details required to mobilise emergency services.

Emergency+ helps users connect with the correct emergency service (000, SES, or Police) and provides precise GPS co-ordinates, including location data, to call-takers.

It ensures faster response times by helping to pinpoint user location.

Key features of Emergency+:

  • Triple Zero (000) Access: Calls 000 directly from the app.
  • Location Accuracy: Uses smartphone GPS to show precise coordinates, helping callers inform emergency services of their exact location.
  • what3words Integration: Converts location to a unique three-word address for fast identification.
  • Other Numbers: Includes direct access to the State Emergency Service (SES) and Police Assistance Line.
  • Accessibility: Features built-in accessibility for users with visual impairments.
