WI leader joins peers on Expo panel

Winslow Infrastructure (WI) Project Director, Gosia Suchorska, was a guest panel speaker last week at the Melbourne Build 2025 Expo.

The Melbourne Build Expo is Victoria’s largest and leading design and construction event and had more than 11,000 attendees over two days.

Gosia spoke as part of the Construction Workforce Development & Innovation sessions on the topic of ‘It’s Okay To Not Be Okay: Let’s Talk About Mental Health & Wellbeing in Construction’.

Gosia was recently announced the winner of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Victoria award for Project Delivery.

As a testament to her leadership, she joined a panel of industry colleagues and discussed the importance of looking after our team’s mental health and wellbeing, just as much as we look after our physical wellbeing.

She also talked about some of the steps she takes to create an engaged and high-performing team, and the ways in which she ensures she regularly checks in with her team and ensures she is looking out for their wellbeing.

As we spend so much of our time at work, we must have people in our workplace whom we feel comfortable talking to about our wellbeing.

Winslow’s dedication to support our employees is highlighted in The Road To Positive Mental Health – Building Strong Connections, a document that outlines our approach and ongoing initiatives we have in place to encourage positive mental health for our employees and their families.

Winslow’s Mental Health Champions drive awareness of mental health within the workplace and are the point of contact between the employee and the employer regarding mental health issues.

They are trained to offer help and support to colleagues and to promote mental health awareness.
