TUS Marks R U OK? Day with Team Breakfast

In recognition of R U OK? Day last week, the team at Total Underground Solutions came together for a special breakfast organised by TUS General Manager, Anthony Strano.

Held during the company’s regular toolbox meeting, the event provided an open and supportive space to reflect on the importance of checking in with one another and maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal life.

A Conversation That Matters

Over breakfast, staff engaged in meaningful conversations around mental health awareness, workload pressures, work–life balance, and broader industry and safety matters. Several team members also showed immense courage in sharing their personal experiences, including their own mental health journeys and the heartbreaking impact of losing close friends to mental health challenges.

Their honesty served as a powerful reminder of why days like R U OK? Day matter, and why fostering a workplace culture where everyone feels safe to speak up is so important.

Ongoing Support for Our People

Management took the opportunity to reinforce the support resources available to all employees and their families. These include:

  • Confidential counselling services
  • Employee Assistance Programs (EAP)
  • Wellbeing initiatives designed to ensure help is always within reach

We are committed to building a workplace where mental health is prioritised, and every team member knows they are supported – not just on R U OK? Day, but every day.
