Engineering team learns the Winslow way

During July, Winslow Constructors Project Manager Maurizio Dal Col led training sessions on structural reinforcement steel, with an emphasis on stormwater pits and culvert structures, for the North Region Engineering teams based at Redstone Estate (Sunbury) and Olivine Estate (Whittlesea) in Melbourne’s outer north.

“Maurizio has a wealth of experience in steel/concrete works, which made him the perfect candidate to drive the sessions,” Senior Project Manager Andrew Ryding.

The sessions included the technical aspects of steel scheduling, the process of steel fixing and structure building, and communication between Winslow and our structure builders and steel suppliers.

Winslow Constructors Project Manager Alex Dao also led an excursion to a culvert structure under construction where the team reviewed a wingwall that was mid-way through the steel-fixing process, enabling theoretical knowledge to be applied to a tangible scenario.
