Hoodie Up for World Autism Month
Winslow Infrastructure recently celebrated Hoodie Up day with Amaze CEO, Jim Mullan.
Amaze is a leading autism organisation driving change so that Autistic people and their families can live their best lives.
Winslow Infrastructure is proud to be working with Amaze to establish an inclusive and accessible workplace environment and contribute towards creating a more autism inclusive Australia.
Hoodie Up day is part of World Autism Month, where people are encouraged to wear a hoodie, show their support for Autistic people, and celebrate the diversity that autism brings to our world.
Why hoodies? Some Autistic people can experience sensory sensitivities and become overloaded by stimuli, but when wearing their hoodie up, they can block out bright lights and busy environments which helps to calm and regain their focus.
Jim spoke with the team about the advocacy work Amaze does for and with the Autistic community and the services they provide nationally.
