SMS maps key Melbourne business park
Survey Management Solutions has been active on the Kaduna Business Park, a new 92ha estate being developed by McMullin Group situated in the commercial hub of Officer South, positioned to be a significant part of the future growth in Melbourne’s Southeastern industrial corridor.
SMS has provided surveying services, for two stages of the seven-stage project, ranging from office computation, engineering set out, TBM control surveys, GPS machines files, existing utilities investigation, GPS machine support and aerial drone survey.
The project has been mapped by drone monthly since July 2023, which has highlighted the construction progress by Winslow Constructors. Watch the video above.
Kaduna Business Park stages 1 and 2 details:
Stage 1 consists of an internal industrial subdivision, wetlands, waterways, and intersection upgrade. Project started in July 2023.
Stage 1:
- 186,000m3 of material has been excavated, 43,200 m3 of fill was required
- Stage size is 240,000sqm
- 1200m of sewer installed up to 7.5m deep
- 4700m of drainage pipe install and 210 pits
- 4700m of kerb
- 2 roundabouts
- 12,000 ton of asphalt
- 11,000m2 of footpath
Stage 3:
- Stage size is 104,000 sqm
- 18,000m3 of material was excavated, and 35,000 m3 of fill was required
- 1000m of sewer installed up to 8.5m deep.
- 1800m of drainage pipes installed and 100 pits
- 2500m of kerb
- 1 roundabout
- 910 ton of asphalt
- 1200m2 of footpath
