Bradmill team reaches milestone

Congratulations to the Winslow Infrastructure (WI) Bradmill team, which recently reached Practical Completion (PC) for the remediation portion of the project.

The team carried out a tremendous amount of work to reach this stage since the project commenced in June 2022.

The works have primarily consisted of the remediation of the huge Yarraville site from materials containing asbestos and waste contamination.

Some key highlights of the project include:

• Daily excavation average of 1788m cubed to stockpile
• Screening average of 810m cubed per screen
• Daily backfilling average of 1158m cubed, including stabilisation of materials using either 3 per cent or 1.5 per cent lime
• Exceeding client expectations of the re-use of 90 per cent of all excavated materials being used as fill, achieving greater than 98 per cent.

What is next for the Bradmill team?

The medium density and external upgrade works are continuing and are progressing well.

These works include widening Francis Street and the construction of a signalised intersection to improve the entrance into the future development.

Further stages of these works are still to be awarded by the client.
