Why I’m running on Mother’s Day

Hello all,

This year on Mother’s Day I am taking part in the Mother’s Day Classic, to support a longtime friend of mine (and the family’s) who is currently fighting Breast Cancer following a diagnosis late last year.

I’ll be undertaking a run on the day in support of Carolyn, just a week or two before she finishes her second course of chemotherapy. This will be the end of almost six months of treatment before what is hopefully a very successful surgery that will occur shortly after.

The Mother’s Day Classic aims to raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation to fund Breast Cancer research to continue to get closer to finding a cure.

I am doing this alongside the whole family and our dear friend Carolyn, with a goal to raise $20,000 for the NBCF and encourage Carolyn to keep fighting cancer.

Any donations large or small to help raise funds for cancer research will be greatly appreciated.  If you would like to donate to our team campaign you can do so here:

All donations over $2 are tax deductible.

Many thanks in advance to anyone who is in a position to donate.
