Mental Health Month
Mental Health Month is an opportunity for everyone at Winslow to reflect on their wellbeing, and that of their workmates.
We care about the health and wellbeing of our employees and their families – the Winslow family – which is why we continue to support Beyond Blue and the vital work it does for the community.
Winslow recently donated $20,000 donation to the mental health and wellbeing organisation, through the Group’s philanthropic arm The Allenby Foundation, and committed to another donation next year.
The face of mental health at Winslow is Big Blue – our 36-tonne excavator painted blue to encourage anyone who is struggling to reach out and seek support from workmates, family and friends.
It’s been spreading the word on mental health awareness across Winslow projects since 2018.
Winslow’s ongoing commitment to supporting our people across the business is highlighted by employees who are regularly trained as Mental Health First Aiders.
They are easily identifiable on site with their TradeMutt shirts and encourage our people to regularly ‘Chat and Check-In’ with each other.
We empower our leaders to guide employees to find support needed as we are all there to support each other.
A free support service is also available to all Winslow employees and their families. Drake Workwise is our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider.
The EAP offers professional, independent and confidential counselling for work-related or personal issues that affect employee wellbeing.
It’s available 24 hours a day and can be easily accessed by downloading the app called ‘DrakeWorkWise’ or phone: 1300 135 600.
