A tale of two Winslows

Most of us head off on annual leave wanting to put work behind us, especially after a solid year’s toil.

For a couple of Winslowers, work was front and centre while travelling over the break.

IT Manager Jay Turner (pictured below), an expat Brit, returned to the UK over the break to visit his family for Christmas, but work was never too far from his mind.

Jay visited his daughter Leanne who lives in a small town called Winslow, in rural Buckinghamshire.

The town of just more over 4400 residents is about 100km northwest of London, and 11km from Milton Keynes, Jay’s hometown.

Pressed for a comment about his trip to Winslow, Jay said “I didn’t see any diggers.”

About the same time Financial Accountant Teri Game was enjoying a holiday at Warrnambool in Victoria’s southwest when she came across the township of Winslow.

The town 17km northwest of Warrnambool has 368 residents and, in a twist of fate, was named after the UK village of Winslow.
