WI crushing work on RBR project
Works are well underway on Winslow Infrastructure’s Riding Boundary Road (RBR) Hub in Truganina, west of Melbourne.
The hub will eventually be home to a 120,000 sq m warehouse, which is about the size of six football fields.
Works on the project will include:
- 120,000 cubic metres of bulk earthworks
- 5km of road pavement
- 6km of drainage
- 11km of new kerb
- 7km of footpath and shared use path
- 3km of sewer
- 3 signalised intersections
- 22,000 tonnes of asphalt
- 2 wetlands
From an environmental perspective, 80,000m3 of rock has already been excavated and crushed so far.
It is expected to that 200,000m3 of rock will be crushed over the project life, which will be turned into Class 3 and 4 rock to be reused on this project.
Awarded in January this year, works are being carried out for return client, Goodman Property Services.
The team will be on site and expect to complete works early next year.
